Compliance & logistics coordination
A Chinese smelter needed 500 metric tons of copper concentrate from West Africa but kept getting rejected at port assays didn’t match, permits were outdated, and no one could prove legal origin.
We sourced directly from three licensed operations in Ghana’s Ashanti Region, ran field screening, locked in SGS certification, and pre-aligned all docs with GACC rules. Shipment cleared in 8 hours.
Challenge
The buyer faced repeated customs rejections due to mismatched assay reports, expired export licenses, and unverifiable mining rights. Prior suppliers relied on third-party affidavits with no on-ground validation.
Solution
We aggregated material from licensed operators in Obuasi, conducted joint weighing, secured fresh Minerals Commission permits, and submitted bilingual documentation pre-approved by the buyer’s compliance team. The full 500 MT cleared Shanghai on first submission.
