Legal validation & assay integrity
An Indian refiner had stopped sourcing African copper after receiving fraudulent assay reports and shipments with no proof of legal mining rights.
We sourced material from a licensed operation in Torit County, secured Ministry-validated export permits, and used a Dubai-accredited lab for independent certification. The 500 MT shipment cleared Mumbai without question.
Challenge
The buyer received falsified purity reports and unverifiable origin claims, leading to a two-year pause on African sourcing. No supplier could provide on-ground validation or government-backed documentation.
Solution
We partnered with a licensed miner in Eastern Equatoria, verified title at the county level, arranged third-party assay, and submitted full due diligence files pre-approved by the buyer’s compliance team. The shipment marked their return to African supply chains.
